In three regions of the Far East, the growth of prices for consumer goods was lower, while in the rest it was comparable to the Russian average in 2020, according to Vostokgosplan experts.

For example, having analyzed Rosstat data on the consumer price index (CPI)* for that period, experts concluded that the change in this indicator in the Chukotka Autonomous District (CPI – 101.9%), Kamchatka Krai (103.9%) and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) (103.9%) is lower than the average for Russia.

According to preliminary data from Rosstat, inflation in the Russian Federation as a whole for 2020 was 4.9%, while prices in the Far East increased by 5% compared to the corresponding period last year.
